                I loved you.

I loved you; even now I may confess,
Some embers of my love their fire retain
But do not let it cause you more distress,
I do not want to sadden you again.
Hopeless and tonguetied, yet I loved you dearly.
With pangs of jealous and timid know;
So tenderly I loved you, so sincerely,
I pray God grant another love you so.

- Alexander Pushkin
                          Fire and Ice.

Some may say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enought of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great.
It would suffice.
- Robert Frost
