The following showcases some
of my model work. My main interest is very
much Gundam plastic (Bandai is so evil), however I also do sci-fi, figures, cars
and bikes, etc... I enjoy super detailing
my kits and scratch building is actually fun
for me. I am a very slow builder
so, I don't have a lot to show yet. However,
with the handy additions in the workshop I sure
am building a lot faster now. BTW,
you can also see pictures of my workshop, too. :)

MSN-100
|
Description:
Bandai,
1:144 HGUC Hyaku Shiki MSN-100
Mostly stock, with an addition LED,
a scratch built waist add-on and modified (more
realistic) left fist.
The most amazing chrome kit
I ever seen. Almost every cut marks and joint lines
are hidden, minus some gaps. The finish is beautiful and
it shows the Japanese are SO much ahead
on this technology. Can't wait to get
the MG in 1:100, if only I could find one at
a good piece.

Spider-Man
|
Description: ToyBiz,
Spider-Man
Stock with a high gloss finish done
by a coat of
Johnson's Future and topped it with a coat of
Armorall Interior Shine to simulate a latex
costume. :)
The tricky part is
doing the wash for his lines. After
the paint, and Future, I did a wash with
black Testors Enamel.

Freedom Chopper
|
Description:
Revell,
1:8 Harley-Davidson Freedom Chopper
Stock, easily the
worst kit I have ever seen. The chrome
pieces are very poorly done. It came
pre-scratched in the box since some
chrome sheets
came without a bag and the plating
is SO thin.
Even on the chrome pieces, the molding
joint lines are big and wide and with cut points
on very visible places. The finished
piece now looks fine from a distancet
now but don't look too close. :)
Maybe when I have time
and some extra cash, I'll cover the
chrome with Bare
Metal Foil, but for now I considered
done.
P.S. The little red scooter
cycle
came with the IMAI kit, it is
in 1/12 too.

Electra Glide
|
Description:
IMAI,
1/12 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide
Much much better kit
compared to above. Replaced the wind
shield with thinner clear butyrate. I
tried a new one step technique on the
black body pieces which I only covered
them with Johnson's Future Floor Polish
on bare plastic. The result
looks like they were primed, sanded,
painted and sealed. :)

Speeder Bike
|
Description:
MPC
ERTL Speeder Bike (Star Wars - Return
of the Jedi)
My first airbrush project.
The shading and weathering still
needs more work, however I may just
hold off until I work on the next one.
