Hua Hin is a rather quiet beach resort 230 km south of Bangkok. The westerners here are mostly package tourists or older expats. Here's a lot of accomodation and restaurants suitable for all wallets. The main beach is clean and the noisy jet-skis are not welcome here. Warning: The bars at Soi Binthabath can be a bit noisy until 1 am.

How to get there: Air More info Train Bus (160 Bath one way Bkk-Hua Hin) Taxi from Bangkok is about 2000-2500 Baht one way, depending how good negotiator you are. Taxi Hua Hin - Bangkok shouldn't cost more than 1800-2000 Baht (per car, not per person).
