Status Report 2 Project name : Human Resource Team member name : Mohd Zain Steve Eickhoff Charles Sharrow Date : 11/16/2004 Work completed this week : 1) Research done by all members in completion of the task assigned 2) Completion of the finalized Project Charter 3) Completion of the finalized Draft Scope Statement 4) Completion of the finalized Team Contract 5) Completion of the Gantt Chart for the project by putting the files on website 6) Completion of the website for the project 7) Putting all the documents and articles along with the review on the website Work to complete next week : 1) Discuss any changes applicable that can be made to the project so it moves smoothly 2) Complete the rest of the research for selected topics, according to milestones 3) Update website What’s going well and why : 1) Each members understand their responsibilities and agree to put their best effort to ensure the success of the project and enthusiastically take the idea to put the name of one group member that did the best among others on the website wonderfully. 2) The project manager clearly states what need to be done and all members participate in giving useful input in completion of the project 3) The website and assignments that stated as some of the milestones are completed on time, as each team members did their job really well in timely manners. What’s not going well and why : 1) In order to put all the documents on the web, some obstacle occur mainly due to the incompatible size of the file, such as the Gantt chart.. This challenge was easily tackled by the team as the file’s directory was changed and made fit to the second website that’s linked to the main project’s website Suggestions / Issues : 1) As an incentives for high quality work in the class, we decided to put the name of the member of each project team in class that did a very well done job for the task that was being assigned to him / her on our website. This name need to be given to us by the completion of the project by each project managers. The names will be placed on our website at the end of the semester. Project Changes : 1) We decided to established a set of questionnaire for interviewing any actual project managers forthe other groups in the class as a guideline to make the interview more efficient and synchronized, as suggested by the project sponsor. The questionnaire can be found on the website. 2) Team meeting will be held as soon of possible to determine any other major changes to the project |
