1983 JEEP CJ7 EFI CONVERSION
This is a website about Jeanettes 1983 Jeep CJ7. This Jeep Broke Number 1 Cylinder Piston Rings on a road trip.In this site I will show you what we did to fix that problem and also improve the Fuel system and Engine Performance
Here is the Original 258CID engine
First, Drain all the engine related fluids, I.E. Engine Oil and Coolant. Disconnect the battery, all wiring attached to the engine, linkage and coolant hose's as needed. Remove the Front Grill , Radiator, Shroud and Headlight wiring which runs through the front grill assembly. Doing this makes engine removal and installation much easier and it makes a great picture shot !
Ok , We disconnected everything including the engine mount bolts, removed the starter and all bell housing bolts.Disconnected the exhaust system and hooked up our engine puller and sling, out comes the engine assembly. That's Jeanette in the engine compartment.
