Another Simple Page About Hot Springs and the wonderful Outdoors.

The hot springs to me is an outstanding way to relax, and enjoy what is around us all without the daily hussles and bussles of everyday life. A way to enjoy peace. A way to meet new friends or to visit with old ones. A way to re-aquaint ourselves with the outdoors. Over the years of finding these hidden treasures, my friends and I have encountered many people from all aspects of life. From Airplane pilots, to hi-way workers, anyone who comes here is here for the same reason- to relax and have a great time.

There are some really good books about hot springs out here that we have used to find some of these treasures that were more "hidden" than others, and some were right in front of us, personally I like the ones that require more of a hunt due to the fact that if they are out in the open - they tend to be more frequented. Dont get me wrong, thats not a bad thing, in fact, most times it can be fun! There are times though that you might enjoy being with your friends or by yourself and just simply enjoying the time watching the sunset or sunrise, whatever the reason may be to come here - is yours only. Remember! What ever you do- that hot springs can be very dangerous! ALWAYS TEST THE WATER BEFORE you jump in, and bring plenty to drink as I have seen people dehydrate out here and that can be deadly.

One time we were up in New Mexico, Taos area, following the directions from a book we had purchased (won't give the name), when we ran across nothing but trouble. The hi-ways and street names didn't match for anything, needless to say, we had to ask where we were. When we finally ran across this Hot Spring, we ran into some very nice Indians who we shared stories with and enjoyed theirs as well. The tub was nestled into the side of a bunch of rocks that the source of water came pouring in from. You could sit in the tub and reach your hand out across the outer barrier of rocks and you would be in the Rio Grande River. Although this was a very busy hot spring, only one for what seemed to be forever in New Mexico, it was very pleasent. Sweet smell of sage filled the air, the Indians mentioned this is a way to clear the place of any bad spirits that may be around. By the time we decided to leave, we were so entirely relaxed, we almost didn't. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of this particular spring.

What I would like to do with this site is to have it become a source for people to submit their hot spring photos and stories to go along with it for others to enjoy and read about. I will be more than happy to edit these pages as the additions come in, and, if you wish, your email adress so others may reach you for possible directions to them if not included already. You may submit your own photos (and info if possible) here HOTSPRINGS FUN, the photos you submit should be that of which you do not care if everyone sees, be sure to look below the photos here for photo links from others as well, enough of the talk, lets get to the fun.
