There has been many complaints and claims against PageCreators. I have personally talked to the owner of PageCreators, and he is a 14-16 year old male with virtually no experience but scamming. All reports against this company are usually true. Buyer Beware. --by Brad Mahaffey .

Page
Creators (http://www.pagecreators.net/) is
providing web hosting service. According to its on-line advertisement
from its web site, the company provides 6-month hosting service for $90 with
unlimited traffic (“Super Plus”). I bought its service “Super Plus” for 3
accounts plus two domain names (which should be $90 * 3 + $50 *2 = $370 in
total) in April. The company charged me $6740 in total to my Citibank credit
card since then. I would like to mention the following unethical behaviors of
this company (Page Creators):
1. False advertisement. The company claims that it provides Java Servlet service which is the reason that I bought their service. But the company does not give me any technical details on how to use it. I figured out that it probably does not provide such service at all after I sent them several emails asking how to use these features in their system.
2. The company screwed up my bill. The company charged me twice (April 26 and June 2) for the same service in two months. The web hosting service for my account is for 6 months and the domain name is for 2 years. However, the same charge showed up twice on my Citibank bill.
3. The company charged me for non-existing traffic. In their email to me, they said that “we reviewed your account previously hosted with us and determined that 5000k sustained bandwidth use from your account”. That’s the reason that I have been charged $6000 recently. According to its web page advertisement (http://www.pagecreators.net/services/hosting.shtml), the package “Super Plus” has unlimited bandwidth transfer which I should enjoy. I don’t understand why they have charged me $6000 for bandwidth. Besides, I have not done anything at all for my site, and I don’t understand why there is traffic (not to mention very high traffic) that I should be responsible for paying.
4. They are lying on their
response. I complained to their representatives about my bill (being charged
twice) around the end of July. They told me that a credit should be sent
to my account for the next bill statement. They never did (as of
10/3/00).

I subscribed 8 months ago for the "Monthly Special" (which, by the way, has been the same since then): One full year of web hosting with incredible features for only $150. I found PageCreators by searching for "web hosting" with Goto.com. At that time, PC was paying over $5 per click to be listed #1 on Goto.com. If this guy could afford that much advertising fees, I guess it is because he was able to fool many visitors... At first, I thought PageCreators was a good company because they had a "BBB online" logo on his website but I found out later that he used the logo fraudulently. Anyway, after one week and many emails, he finally registered my domain name. After less than 2 weeks, I asked him to cancel my account and refund me since the server was far from offering 99% uptime, and MySQL was almost never working. He told me that he could not refund me because the contract said that the "30 days money back" applied only for 1 month contracts. He was right, I did not read the contract fully before subscribing. I nevertheless felt that I had been fooled since he did not provide at all the kind of service he was advertising. I moved my site with an other hosting company (hostpro, very good by the way). Now, I am afraid to fill his cancellation form because the contract says: "If you cancel prior to the end of your contract term and you received special pre-pay rates, your hosting fees will be adjusted so that you pay the regular, non-discounted monthly fees." This would mean that he could charge a lot of money on my credit card. But, if I do not cancel, I am afraid that he will automatically renew my one year susbscription next year. This guy has written a contract that allow him to charge a lot of money to his customers. The thing I don't understand is why do the credit card companies still let him charge money to credit card holders ? Not enough complains ?
I signed up with pagecreators to host my website on 7/26/00 On each page I checked the following; Super Plus package Quarterly payments @ $15.00/mo x 3 =$45.00, I also bought a domain name for $50.00. Total should have been $95.00. However, when you finished applying and give them your credit card #, you are not presented with a receipt or a confirmation #. I emailed them several times asking for one, them finally heard back from them on 8/3/00. They claimed I checked off 6 months of service, plus an additional year @$120.00. The way they designed their application, you are left with no proof of what you checked off, so it's your word against theirs. They do not answer their phone, and have had some of my emails sent back. They claim they are within their rights and tell you to read the contract. However, they have flashing buttons on their page that read 30 money back guarentee risk free!! They said that when I prepaid with a VISA, I lost my guarentee. I am in the process of disputing the charges with my VISA provider. They have not tried to accomidate me in any way. Instead, the email message they sent me said "Feel free to join any lawsuit brought against us. Also, please dicuss the time you will be wasting when you try to sue us in civil court. You have no grounds. We will not issue a refund, this is final" I feel they think they are invincible, and can continue fraudulently overcharging their customers.
I've been hit by them too. I signed up with pagecreators.net web hosting service at $10 a month. I have 2 accounts with them, one for about 5 months and another for one month. On the 27th they send me an email, that they have changed their policy, and that I will be charged a dollar for every kbps of peak sustained usage per month. I haven't heard of anything more ridiculous, one person alone if he connects to the site with DSL or cable can easily get 800 kbps, which amounts to $800! They also mentioned that if I didn't reply within 7 days, my account will be terminated. On the 28th he sends me an email that my account has been closed because of 'bandwidth abuse', credit declined, and he went ahead and charged my card for $2000. He did the same thing for the other account which has nothing but the domain name on the page, no pictures, background or link. The page is hardly 200 bytes in size, and I am supposed to have used a bandwidth of 2000 kbps! And he again charged me for $2000. When I emailed him to cancel the account, he replies that cancellation should be done on the website. When I go to the website, I am supposed to mail a letter which has in it this clause: "I understand my cancellation request will not be honored nor valid."
