You called it a gift

Paid for service? yes
But chosen as well by you
I gave my pain wrapped up
In three dark threads
Woven through my life
And called them gods.
I gave you the shadows
On my soul
Whose throb collapses my limbs.
I gave you my self-filled thoughts
For which I often scorn myself.
I gave you my brittleness
And fearful scattered pieces
I can't even put together.
I gave you things you named "secrets"
But to me are questions of worth.
I gave you my pain.
You called it a gift.
