I've recently finished recording a tune that's been a thorn in my paw for quite some time...the musical arrangement is  the same, aside from a new intro/verse and new lyrical recitation/phrasing. It's definetly the most coherent song I've recorded so far; it's tough without a mixer and a condenser mic, but i've gotta make do. Joe has a mixer, so the future recordings should be greatly improved, along with the addition of live drums.

The title of the piece is ,"Song of Solace". It is by no means a thrash-happy romp neither is it a slow sleeper...in fact, it's uptempo yet still carries a distinctive theme...I hate songs that have good interludes but repeat them over and over again, which is why the song clocks in at just under 2 minutes. There are two versions I recorded, one with lyrics recited and a karaoke version.
Both are included on a CD that is available for anyone interested...
the other tracks are as followed:
1. ONEFOYA/Draining Again
From my first batch of recordings back in 2000. Moroneye Fulton adds his measure of     lyrical depth along with snarling vox.

2. P.E.S.T.
Also from 2000, this gem is one of my favorites...Moroneye's indictment on an Age
   of Convenience.

3. Wayward Sophistry
An instrumental recorded with 4 guitars...short and sweet.

4. Don't Be Fuelish
Another instrumental with a distinctive new wave feel...it may surprise you.Simplicity at its finest.

5.  Luna's Demise 2003
Completely first take...I kick myself to this day at the fact that I used the built-in mic
that was provided on the multi-track recorder cos i misplaced the microphone...needless to say, the treble is overpowering  and because it is 1st take, there is a fuck up or two...but then again, the lyrics and spacy/lo-fi artsy fartsy *blips* and *pops* along with the trashy jazz inspired percussive picking saves the day.

6. Song of Solace  2003

7. Song of Solace(karoke version) 2003

I sent off a copy to dineunderground.com for their reviewal...I don't know what they'll say...although I am curious.

I also gave a copy to a newspaper writer who actually related to the first recordings.

I'm surprised at the progress  that the music has made...from fast hardcore punk to a more atmospheric ambience...I'll thank the general public's ruination of the "Hardcore" aesthetic for that...let's hope they bleed that dry.
If you are interested in having the CD, it's yours for 4 bux post-paid.
