TEENS AND OBESITY(OVERWEIGHT)
In the United States at least one child in five is overweight. Within the last 20 years there was a 50% increase.

Obesity is a common eating disorder associated with adolescence. It can be defined as an excessive accumulation of body fat.It is more common in girls.

Children have fewer weight-related health problems than adults but over-weight children are at high risk of becoming overweight adolescence and adults. Overweight people of all ages are linked to many health issues such as : heart disease ,diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes and some form of cancer.

Obesity shorten life expectancy and also leads to social disabilties and unhappiness. If you think you are overweight, talk to a trusted adult about what you can do to become more healthy and fit.
