Waiting on Holy Spirit!

"Under no circumstances are you to be at peace, wait on Holy Spirit, and see what happens!"

Such is the counsel of ego.

Ego will have us jumping in, attempting to make things happen, dreaming about moving to where the grass might seem greener, and otherwise swimming to where the current is not flowing. It's a wonder anything of true meaning and value gets accomplished in earth.

Luckily, Holy Spirit immediately responds to each and every one of our ego decisions with course adjustments that bring only more light in the world. Amazing grace!

Some might ask: will there not come a day when ego's power and influence end? At least one spiritual teacher would laugh and answer, "Yes, the day when the Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox play in the first win-win World Series!" In other words, don't hold your breath ... not a good idea anyway when you are opening spiritually.

Ego will be around as long as the world is around. But ego's longevity is not something to be concerned with, is it? Because Holy Spirit transforms everything of ego into divine purpose. As always, amazing grace!

So the question is: If it is only ego that would ever bother resisting ego or even noticing ego ... then what are we to do?

Nothing ... unless Holy Spirit guides us. Doing nothing includes refraining from choosing to feel guilty if we think we have been influenced by ego. Doing nothing also means not analyzing whether we have followed the guidance of ego or Holy Spirit. And finally, doing nothing indicates not even seeing or recognizing ego, looking to heaven instead, overlooking.

"The means of the Atonement is forgiveness. The structure of 'individual consciousness' is irrelevant. To study the error itself does not lead to correction, if you are indeed to succeed in overlooking the error. And it is just this process of overlooking at which the course aims." -Jesus Christ

"Nothing doing!" That's how a great spiritual teacher once answered the would-be student who asked to be enlightened.

Until recently the history of Christian churches and the Christian religion has been a history of ego, hasn't it? For centuries, church goers were prodded into feeling guilty. Inquisitions set up courts of inquiry searching for "the devil's influence" in people. And even when inquisitions were abandoned and guilt was finally seen as counterproductive, sermons still warned of "the devil's lurking presence" as if choosing to live in fear is somehow God-like behavior.

But something has changed, hasn't it?

Today you can read news stories about a new kind of religion and church experience where Holy Spirit has opened people's hearts to the far reaches of the universe allowing a divine light so bright that fear, pain, and guilt are burned into oblivion and the vacuum filled with glory.

In "Catch the Fire" TV broadcasts and conferences of John and Carol Arnott from the Toronto, Canada "laughing church" there is no focus on guilt, pain, or fear ... only fully vigilant attention to God's radiantly bursting joy and love.

In the worship services and TV broadcasts of Australia's Hillsong Church Darlene Zschech is literally lifted into the experience of heaven as her singing awakens inside you a memory of the unbelievable freedom of divine power and innocence.

Even on a church website in the very remote small town of Whitefish, Montana (not even on most maps), the website of Headwaters Ministries, there is no mention of "evil" or "hell" or any "devil's influence," but only an overflowing exuberance for clear healing streams of divine power and grace:

"Our desire in worship is to bring people into the presence of Lord. Our mission is to see everyone so filled with the presence of God! Pastor Brad has a passion for the presence of the Lord and loves to see signs, wonders and healings."

Then you have Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas where Pastor Joel Osteen explains in language understandable to everyday Christians a teaching which many hear as the elementary principles of Jesus' new revelation to earth: A Course in Miracles.

Something very, very wonderful is happening in earth, wouldn't you say?

People are beginning to say, "There is an experience I want! And it is not the experience of pain, fear, or guilt!" Some even say something like, "I sense what I really, really, really want is so much bigger than human ego that it would be an ocean to a drop of water!"

That's right! People are beginning to sense something mind-boggling and unbelievably marvelous is available. They may not have the slightest idea of what the experience is or how incredibly full to overflowing the experience really is, but they do have just the slightest memory of something big and wonderful inside themselves, and these new ministries on earth are saying, "Let's get in touch with this long lost desire! Let's allow an unnameable experience! Let's do nothing, wait on Holy Spirit, and see what happens!"

And what is happening is an explosion of divine light in earth.

Can this blowout, this breakout, this rupture into rapture be the result of Jesus giving us His new revelation, A Course in Miracles, on earth? After all, the Course is given to lead us to the experience of God:

"A universal theology is impossible, but a universal experience is not only possible but necessary. It is this experience toward which the course is directed. Here alone consistency becomes possible because here alone uncertainty ends." -Jesus Christ

Well, the truth is Jesus has always given His course. The three books revealed to Helen Schucman are a particular version useful for a while to technically-oriented minds until they allow the undoing of their ego-vested habit of delaying the experience by intellectualizing. The truth is the churches mentioned above are teaching His Course probably without even knowing the content of His three books:

"There is a course for every teacher of God. The form of the course varies greatly. So do the particular teaching aids involved. But the content of the course never changes. Its central theme is always, 'God's Son is guiltless, and in his innocence is his salvation.' It can be taught by actions or thoughts; in words or soundlessly; in any language or in no language; in any place or time or manner. It does not matter who the teacher was before he heard the Call. He has become a savior by his answering." -Jesus Christ

It might be tempting to some students of the Course to speculate whether this new explosion of divine light on earth is traceable to the enlightened spiritual teacher who founded Endeavor Academy in Wisconsin. After all, there has probably never been anywhere on earth where more divine light has shone through, and the Endeavor experience is certainly more charismatic and spirit-overwhelmed than even the amazing ministries mentioned above.

However it would only be ego that would point to a particular event, or teacher, or place like Wisconsin. In divine mind everything is happening at once all in the same place. You are now seeing it because you are opening up and beginning to experience oneness with God.

Could a "light team" of Course brothers shine and teach at one of the above mentioned spirit-filled churches? It might require a little willingness to switch some definitions and use more traditional Christian language, but it's certainly possible, wouldn't you say? Could a member of one of these charismatic churches handle the technical teaching language used at Endeavor Academy? It would require some open-mindedness and forgiveness, but it's sure to happen, wouldn't you imagine? Could either attend the other's services, wait on Holy Spirit, and feel blessedly natural in Holy Spirit's light?

How could it be otherwise?

Holy experience is your only true desire!
Divine Light is your real Home!

Diana Nicole (formerly "Master Diana" of Endeavor Academy) has been occasionally this year teaching and facilitating spiritual opening with our group in Salt Lake City. If you think the Holy Spirit shone brightly here before....

Diana has indicated she is willing to travel and teach on a donation basis. Listen inside and see if you are guided to invite her and any "light team" brothers she can bring to your church or group.
