David
Holt-Biddle is an award winning freelance environmental and travel journalist
and broadcaster. He has travelled extensively on all continents, privately
and on assignment, following his broad field of interests, ranging from palaeoanthropology,
archaeology and history, through anthropology, the environment and wildlife.
For twelve years, David was editor of the South Africa-based Endangered
Wildlife Trust, Endangered Wildlife magazine and the Vision annual,
a survey of the ten countries of southern Africa. He writes for various publications
in South Africa and abroad and takes his own photographs for publication
when on assignment. He contributes to environmental and ecotourism slots
on Radio 702 (Gauteng province) and Cape Talk Radio (Western
Cape province), and ClassicFM Radio (Gauteng), all available
on the DStv channel, and works on TV documentaries as a
researcher and scriptwriter. David now lives on the beautiful Natal South
Coast with his wife and professional assistant, Sue, and they pursue their
special interests travelling abroad and around southern Africa.
David has received some 30 awards and award nominations for his work in radio, television and the print media over the past 20 years or so, including:
