"What does 'courage' mean, Dad?" said the young boy while walking towards his father's workbench, kicking sawdust out of his path.

The aged man laid down a rusty hammer and turned to see the lad raise his arms. "Well, where did you learn such a word?" he said as he lifted the inquiring youngster, brushing away the dust and metal particles before setting him on the counter and releasing his tight, but gentle, grasp.

"That, my son, is a difficult word to define," said the father. "Some people believe they comprehend the meaning, but no interpretation is strong enough to convey the significance of such a powerful word." The father glanced off to the side, looked down towards the dirty, workroom floor, and closed his eyes in deep thought. "The easiest way for me to explain 'courage' is to tell you of a Legend." He took a deep breath, looked back towards his child, and enlightened him with a remarkable tale...
