				Dawn's Death - December 1997
	Dawn and Jambo were very close friends however they always seemed destined to be more than just friends and to be together. After their fair share of near misses they finally managed to get it together. However when they finally realised they were meant to spend their lives together their relationship and happiness was cruelly cut short when Dawn found out she had leukaemia. On Christmas Day, Dawn and Jambo hired a rowing boat and Jambo proposed to her. Dawn said yes to his proposal but then lost her fight for life. The image that resulted was a helpless, heartbroken Jambo left in the middle of the river in the boat cradling Dawn in his arms. The following week showed Dawn's funeral and the effect her death had had on her family and friends. Jambo's raw grief was shown when he broke down performing the eulogy at her funeral! This love story was one of the most moving and popular ones in the history of Hollyoaks.
