Below are a collection of photos displaying the one-stroke method of painting.  Galvanized watering cans made a handsome yet whimiscal medium for this method.  I've recently added terra cotta pots, planters and mailboxes to the list of materials that you can decorate on.

If you'd like to share a crafting idea, or have any questions about the projects on this page, please
email me.  I'd love to hear from you!
HINT:
Pre-finished white or light colored cans are good to use if you are woking with a bold, dark design, or if you are going for a coordinated look.
Pre-finished dark cans (hunter green, navy or black) will allow a design with a lot of white and yellows to really pop out at you!
HINT:
Terra-cotta pots are very porous and will soak up your paint.  One or two layers of clear base coat will fill in those pores and allow your colors to flow easily!
HINT:
Dress up your watering can by selecting silk flowers similar too, or picking up colors in you design, then arrange the flowers to gradually cascade out of the top of the can.

HINT:
Why spend up to $15 per letter for trendy letters for your baby's nursery when you can purchase letters at your local craft store and paint for pennies on the dollar?? This was the only project I had the energy to do while I was pregnant.
