This month Dave and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary.  We had a nice trip to Victoria, BC over the weekend.  Just us and Heather while Hannah stayed with her Grandma and Grandpa Dunn.  The weather prediction was rain but we lucked out and had very nice sunny weather the day we went to Butchart Gardens.  It was quite cooler than we anticipated so we stopped at the gift shop to purchase our souvenir shirts to wear them at the garden.   Heather got mora attention than the flowers!!!  So I think she stole the show. :)    Heather did amazingly well traveling around with us.  She waved at everybody who passed by and smiled big.  Anything for attention really.   We were able to hire a babysitter at the hotel and had two very nice romantic dinners and a walk around the city.  Well worth it!

Hannah is doing great!  She has to do *everything* herself.  If she doesn't get to do things she cries but it is getting easier and she seems to be getting it sometimes and will tell me "I won't cry" if I tell her she won't be able to do something if she doesn't do it right away.  It helps to avoid huge tantrums.  Hannah got some new "light" shoes the other day.  She was soooo excited about them.  I was relieved to find them though because she had her eye on some Dorothy shoes (you know, bright red sparkly not practical at all).  Pretty much she refused to try or even look at another pair of shoes.  So I took her to Mervyns and we saw the light shoes.  She stomps and jumps around yelling "I got lights".  It was a riot!!  Well, until bedtime rolled around and she refused to take them off!!

As I mentioned Heather is waving now and does it in her sleep sometimes.  Practice makes perfect!  She also started saying "Ba ba ba ba"  which I am *pretty* sure it means bye bye.  She says it while she is waving.  Today at the store she was getting tired and started waving and saying Ba ba ba.  So we left right away.    She finally started sitting and staying in a sitting position for a long time now.  Actually, she has a hard time getting down from the sitting position.  She will cry for me to come save her when she gets tired.  She still rolls everywhere but also scoots along on her tummy by doing a half roll and pushing off with on leg.  She can turn 180 degrees in either direction really well and is very mobile.  She has also mastered cheerio eating and is eating way more big people food than Hannah ever did at her age.

My fairy princess!!
Heather was still as happy as ever after a long day at the garden.   She napped very well in the stroller while we had high tea.   We were amazed at how well she travels.  Slept very well in the hotel.

Here we are at the harbor.  our hotel was directly behind us and we took a fun water taxi to get back.
