Terry Bush
and the
Theme song
from the TV Series

The Littlest Hobo
The theme song, 'Maybe Tomorrow' was originally sung by Terry Bush.  It was written by Terry and John Crossen in 1979.  Because of a commercial airing in late 1999 through early 2000 in the UK (the National Westminster Bank used the theme for an animated commercial with a dog and a plane) the song has become extremely popular again.  Obviously sparking some interested as numerous groups set out to record their own version.    I know of four that have released it and others that just play it at concerts.  Vaginal Croutons (what a name!) from Montreal released their punk version (much to my disgust), a guy named Dave Gunning from Nova Scotia (I haven't heard his version) and two groups in England.  One being Scooch.  Weren't they clever - releasing a version trying to sound exactly like the original.  Even trying to mimic Terry's voice!  The other group is called 'Instant Species' out of Leeds, England.

Being an accomplished guitarist and jingle writer, the Littlest Hobo Theme is not Terry's only 'claim to fame' in the music industry.  Having played in many  a
hot spot, like Toronto's original Blue Note with the Silhouettes, featuring such artists as Doug Riley and Dianne Brooks.  He also played with Robbie Lane and the Disciples (Terry being one of the original Disciples) and of course Rompin' Ronnie Hawkins.  In the sixties Terry played guitar and sang on a very popular show called 'It's Happening' which aired on CTV.  It was during this show in the late sixties that Terry started his own successful jingle business.  Producing some of the best jingles ever heard.  Many won awards such as 'I adore my 64, my Commodore 64', 'I wanna go to the zoo, zoo, zoo' for the Metro Toronto Zoo which was extremely catchy and ran for many years.

After 20 years, Terry has finally released the theme from The Littlest Hobo on a CD.  There are 11 other original tunes also well worth listening too.
