Paulina (nee Gedroyc, 1905) was the firstborn of Wladislaw Gedroyc (1862-1943)
and Renata de Pourbaix whom Wladislaw married in 1904 at Horodec.
Paulina was born in 1905 and married Roman Emiljan Dambski (1901-1967), Count of Lubraniec, in 1927 at Lwow, taking the Dambski name and thereby passing the Royal House of Lithuania from Gedroyc.
A Gedroyc prince was elevated to grand prince in 1569 by King Zygmunt of Poland to oversee Lithuania, which was then four times the size of Poland, and included Belarus and Ukraine.
Herbarz Polski, and LP Vilnius 1811 and other patents, outline the princely Gedroyc lineage back to the 13th Century, when Gedroyc is related to King Mindaugas (1251-1263).
Mindaugas became king in 1251, but had to wait until 1253 to be crowned. His crown was supplied by Pope Innocent IV on (what many might consider the highly inappropriate) condition he and Lithuania accept the Roman Catholic religion.

Amendments to the Lithuanian constitution are with the Lithuanian parliament since 2006 to enable King Roman to be crowned as monarch within the Lithuanian constitution.
However, amending the constitution requires the backing of a two third majority of the Lithuanian parliament for a referendum.
