Rabbit  Foods

A rabbits diet should contain regular rabbit food from the pet store, fresh timothy hay,
and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables daily.Rabbits should always have fresh
hay to eat, as it helps to aid digestion.

Here is a list of suggested vegetables:

  • Alfalfa
  • Basil
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots & Carrot tops
  • Celery
  • Clover
  • Collard Greens
  • Collard Greens
  • Dandelion greens (No pestisides!)
  • Endive
  • Green Peppers
  • Mint
  • Parsley {pepper loves Italian parsley}
  • Pea Pods (the flat,edible ones)
  • Peppermint Leaves
  • Radish Tops
  • Rasberry Leaves
  • Romaine Lettuce
  • Watercress
  • Wheat grass

    Vegetables to be used sparingly, they may be toxic after a accumulated amount of time:

  • Kale

    Fruits like Banannas, raisins, and grapes should only be given once in a while as a treat
    becasue they are very sugary. rabbits have a sweet tooth and they will eat as many as you give them!
    Also Rabbits could possibly choke on grapes.

    Foods NOT to be given to rabbits:

  • Cassava
  • Bambo shoots
  • Lima Beans
  • Tea Leaves
  • Maize
  • Millet
  • Onions
  • Citrus Peels
  • Raw Lima,kidney,or soy beans
