My Testimony

Hi, my name is Hung Lan. Thank you for visiting my homepage. I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my Christian testimony.

I believe everyone will ask the question "What is life?" or "What is the purpose of my life?" at one time or another. I have asked these questions myself and found that only God, the maker of heaven and earth can answer them.

When I was a little girl, I didn't know if there is God or spirits around. But we lived in a spiritualistic society, worshipping idols and seeking help from spirits were common things to us. We would go to temple when we needed healings or protection. Sometimes sicknesses were healed, but they did not give me any answer about life.

A good friend later told me about Jesus and the works He has done two thousand years ago. I was told Jesus, the Son of God came to reveal to us how God is like and the Bible is the Word of God. That was an interesting discovery to me, God loves me and has a plan for me!

As I read the Bible, I realised that I have a sinful nature and only the blood of Jesus can save me from the punishment of sin. So I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour. God opened my mind and gave me new understanding of His Word.

Now I know what it meant to have peace, it is not to have no troubles, but rather it is a right relationship with God and those that around me. Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

He also said, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
