Beam- greatest width of a ship.

Caliber- diameter of a round bullet.

Ceiling- the maximum altitude an aircraft can travel to.

Co-axil- a smaller caliber weapon placed on a turret with the main gun.

Displacement- weight of the volume of fluid displaced by something floating or immersed in it.

Draught (draft)- depth of water required for a ship to float in.

Endurance- the amount of time a vehile can operate.

Grooves- the indented lines in the barrel of a gun which spins the bullet.

Horsepower- unit for measuring power or rate of work(equal to 746 watts)

Machinery- the engines on a ship.

Muzzle Velocity- the speed at which a bullet travels when it leaves the barrel of a weapon.

NBC- states whether the vehicle is resitant to Nuclear Biological or Chemical weapons.

Rate Of Fire- the amount of ammuniton a weapon can fire in an amount of time.

Rifling- describes the number of grooves and how far it takes a bullet to do a full turn in a direction.

Shaft- bar in a machine that serves to support a rotating part or to convey motion to other parts.

Shaft Horsepower- the amount of power the shaft produces.

Wingspan- the distance on an aircraft from one wing tip to the other.
