ONE LIFE TO LIVE (ABC-TV)
On since July 15, 1968, this show has attracted a big, growing audience. It is a “contemporary dramatic serial,” highlighting the misunderstandings between different economic, social, culture classes – the Lords and the Woleks, for instance. It has a cast of well-trained actors from all fields.
ELLEN HOOLY and LILLIAN HAYMAN play daughter and mother. Ellen’s a New Yorker, still single. Lillian’s the daughter of a minister, who sang in her dad’s choir as a child.
LEE PATTERSON and PATRICIA ROE. He’s a Canadian, born Beverley Atherly- Patterson, and still single. She’s a New Yorker born Sept. 18, divorced her doctor husband in 1968. Collects antiques, and loves her two cats.
ALLEN MILLER, PETER DE ANDA. Allen’s from Brooklyn, N.Y., and wed to actress Anita Cooper. Peter’s from Pittsburgh, born on a March 10, and separated from wife. Has two children.
NIKI FLACKS is Aries (April 7), born in Daytona Beach, Fla. She lives in a 3-room apartment in New York. Her mother’s a teacher; her father a lawyer.
NAT POLEN, born on a June 14 in New York, began as a drummer in New York University dance band, then switched to acting in 1947. He lives in suburban Long Island with wife Nancy and three daughters, Wendy, 20; Debra, 19; Donna, 13.
GILLIAN SPENCER married in March of 1969, after her divorce from actor Tom Connolly the year before. She has two small sons. From Seattle, he home town, she went to New York to get her career going.
LYNN BENISH is single, lives in New York, comes out of White Plains, N.Y., was nursery school teacher before turning to acting career.
AMY LEVITT succeeded Cathy Burns in role. A busy actress, she in off-Broadway play, Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds.
JOSEPH GALLISON’s from Boston, had roles in Hollywood as Evan McCord. Is now separated from his wife, blonde actress Connie Sharpe.
ANTONY PONZINI’s Brooklyn born, became actor in 1957 after U.S. Navy stint, lives in Greenwich Village bachelor apartment.
DORIS BELACK, born on a Feb. 26 in New York, is wed to Broadway producer Philip Rose, enjoys gardening, strolling, finding homes for stray pets.
MICHAEL STORM was born in Chicago, raised in Lajolla, Cal. Married Sally Beall on Feb 21, 1966 in Reno; lives in New York.
