Camping Under the Stars

A HH Hostel. Bring a HH so you can exchange. Do not take a HH without leaving one.

Directions

From New Haven head East on I-95 to exit 63. Make left at light and then another quick left on Route 81 North. Follow 81 approximately 5 miles to the RT 81/RT 80 circle. Follow Circle 3/4 around and head west on RT 80 1 mile to park entrance on your right.

From RT 9 CT get off exit 9 and head South on RT 81. Go approximately 8 miles to RT 81/RT 80 Circle. Make your first right onto RT 80 West and proceed 1 mile to park entrance on your right.

Clues

Your first landmark you must find is the only pavilion in Chatfield Hollow SP.  Next go to the south east corner. From this take a bearing of due south. Can you see the mound of dirt that might be a buried stump? On the other side of this mound is the hostel. Be careful re-bagging. Last time I was here it was moist inside.
