The first edition of the MY LITTLE PRIMER's
"Making a Friend"
is about 89 pages comb bound for ease in handling.
With this curriculum you and your child/children will learn (or recap) recognition and writing of the Alphabet all while learning of the people and places Laura Ingalls Wilder writes about in her Little House on the Prairie books and The My First Little House Series.

Meet our FRIENDS~!!!
This is how they begin!! We made our first FRIENDS in August 2000. They were... Tomaduche who is Joshua's friend. His name means Friend in Japanese.
Then there is
Susan, she is Destiny's Friend named after her favorite wild flower...Blackeyed Susan!
Mariah has named hers
Kit (after Kit Carson)
We have since retired those three and will be making new Friends this January 2008 (it just doesn't get old for us)
Check back for updates and new pictures as we dress them and make furniture for them through the My Little Primer extra activity adventures.
There have been many other Friends created from others around the world that are using the My Little Primer curriculum. I hope to soon have their names and pictures to add here as well. For now.. take a look at those I do have.

Our First Added Adventure of the Year will be to make a winter warm up blanket for our friend. This is a very simple activity.
Materials needed are..
1 yard of fleece
scissors
2 yards of 2" wide ribbon to contrast the material you choose.
white crayon or chalk

Lay fleece flat and cut the folded edge to make two seperate pieces of fleece. Take your chalk or white crayon and mark every inche around the whole piece of fleece. Now cut a 2" slit on every mark. (for both pieces of fleece)

Laying the fleece flat one piece on top of the other, begin to tie each slit together. Do this all the way around the blanket. Now take your 2" ribbon and lay it flat, tie a bow in the center and sew the center flat to keep it in place. Now lay the ribbon from side to side or corner to corner of the blanket and pin in place. With the sewing machine (or even by hand) sew the ribbon on to the blanket. (Of course for our boys we would leave the ribbon off)

Here you have a winter warm blanket for your Friend. Please feel free to
email pictures to me and I will post them here.
