born in 1850. Sons William H. b. 1874, and John W. b.1888.

#8---George Washington Williams born June 6th 1857. he died Feb.
1938. His wife was Anna Clark. They were married about 1887.
Her father was Bethuel Clark. They had two Children, Arthur and
Everett, both lived in Cincinnati.
#9---Thomas Hamer Williams (Tom). He was born Oct. 14th 1860. He
died Jan 22nd 1892 in Scott Co. Ark.
William’s wife died and then he married a second wife Hannah. She was born in 1851 in Ohio. Their children were;
#1---Lizzie Williams b. 1874. she died in 1937 in Williamsburg.
#2---Ida Williams b. 1876. she was in Mason Ohio in 1938
#3---Dora Williams b. 1879 she was in Calif. In 1938
#4---Turman Williams died 1931.
Hannah had a daughter by a previous marriage, born in 1864.

Husband’s name---Thomas Hamer Williams (Tom). Born Oct.14th 1860 in Williamsburg Ohio. He had brown hair blue eyes and was medium size. His father William Williams operated a Mill in Williamsburg. His mother, Thurza died and his father remarried. He moved to Ark. as a young man of 19 or 20. He lived in the household of and worked for William Turman, a friend of his fathers. Mr. Turman was a wealthy miller.
Tom was murdered by way of poison on Jan. 22nd 1892. He wasn’t even dead yet when they rolled him off of his bed into a homemade coffin, and hauled him on his own freight wagon to Square Rock Cemetery at Waldron Ark. His 9 and 7 year old sons, George and Doc were made to go with them. The boys went to some neighbors and told them their dad was buried alive. They tried to get help and or a shovel. But could get neither. It was
bitter cold. There was nothing they could do. He shares a double headstone with his mother in law Nancy, who died one day after he did. She was also poisoned. She had been living with him and Laura.
In the 1880 census he was listed as a hireling gristmill worker, 21 years old, living in the household of William Turman, a mill owner. In Hickman Twsh. Scott Co. Ark. By the late 80s he and Laura had a 40 acre farm at Waldron. He was raising fine horses and mules and hauling freight to and from Fort Smith.
Wife’s name---Laura Elizabeth Blackwell, born June 16th 1866, in Willow Springs Mo. Her mother was Nancy Luella Pierce born in Mo. In 1828. Her father was John Hamilton Blackwell born in 1793 in Sumter Co. S. C. In the 1880 census Nancy and Laura were also living in the Turman household. Nancy was a housekeeper. Laura was 14. Laura and Thomas were married at the Turman place in Waldron Ark. Aug. 16 1881
Laura died in Harris Co. Tex. On Feb. 8th 1946
Their children were
George Washington Williams. B. July 22nd 1882
William Hamilton (Doc) born Feb. 12th 1884. He lived in Portales N.M. Box 791. His wife’s name was Mary. His daughters were Leona Parker and Naomi. In 1946 he was in Clovis N.M.
Mary Emily, (Aunt Emma) was born Jan.18th 1886. She married John Patrick Mc Kinney b. bet. 1870 and 1885 in Rockdale Tex. They were married Aug. 25th 1906. They lived in Wichita Falls Tex. She died in Sept. 1982 in Pecos Tex. Her children were;
Vernon Lee b. Nov. 5th 1907 in Batson Tex.
Melvin Howard Mc Kinney, b. Dec. 5th 1909
A daughter b. between 1910 and 1920

Nancy Luella (Nannie) Williams was born June 1887 in Ark. She married George Bailey and lived in Dry Creek La. In 1941 she was at Rt. 2 box 232 De Ridder La.
Ida Williams was born Jan. 26th 1891 in Waldron Ark. She married Mid Higginbotham in 1913. She lived in Houston Tex. Her children were Mildred who died Jan. 7th 1997, Melton, Marvin, Merrion, (Sim), Murphy, Maurice, (Scooter Bill).
After Thomas died Laura married Charles H. Thomas on the 28th 0f May 1892, in Scott Co. Ark. He was born Sept. 1854 in Tenn. He died in a hurricane in 1915 at La Porta Texas. They had six children.

Robert Gailion (Bob) Thomas of Houston. B. July 1894 in Ark.
Roy Nution Thomas b. in Dec. 1897 in Ark. Died June 6th 1927 in Long Beach Calif. As result of a car wreck.
Era Thomas b. about 1900 in Cherry Hill Ark. Lived to the age of three. She died in Sour Lake Tex.
Pet Thomas
Hallie Davis. She was born in 1905 in Batson Tex. Her second husband was Milton Anderson. She lived in Houston. She later married Onie Harmon and had a daughter Laura.
On the 1900 census Laura and Charley were in Big Fork Township, Polk Co. Ark., with Nannie, Ida, Robert and Roy.
On the 1920 census Laura was in Houston (Justice Precinct #1) with Robert 25 and Hallie 15. They were roomers in the household of a mister Halley who was a water well driller. And Robert was listed as a driller.
On the 1930 census Laura was in the household of Milton and Hallie Anderson. She was widowed, 63, and listed as mother in law. In Justice Precinct #2, Houston.

Mrs. Laura Thomas, 79, of 205 Bayland, died in a local hospital at 2:30 a.m. Friday February 8th 1946.
She was a member of the OES, of Cherry Hill, Arkansas. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Hallie Davis and Mrs. Ida Higginbotham, both of Houston, Mrs. Nan Bailey of De Ridder, La., and Mrs. Emma Mc Kinney of Wichita Falls Texas. Three sons, R. G. Thomas of Houston, W. H. Williams of Clovis, New Mexico, and G. W. Williams of Rogers, Arkansas. 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Fogle-West Chapel with Rev. Lamar Mathias officiating. Burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
