A BIG rugged Santa Fe Steam Switcher Locomotive and Sloped-back Tender
heads this realistic freight train. In addition to its robust die-cast metal body it features a working headlight, puffing smoke, 3-position electronic transformer-controlled forward-neutral-reverse, and a front-end operating knuckle coupler and Santa Fe markings. Sloped-back Tender features operating back-up light and trailing operating knuckle coupler.
The Rolling Stock Consist Trailing Behind This Hard-Working Locomotive Includes:
Operating Santa Fe 4-wheel Crane Car. Its cab swivels and the crane and hook crank up and down manually for realistic trackside salvage operations. Santa Fe Tool Car. This particular type of freight car was offered in 1986 for the first time by Lionel^â. Santa Fe Bunk Car, to "house" your imaginary model railroad work crew. Santa Fe Gondola with removable spools. And last, but not least, Santa Fe Work Caboose. Track and transformer not included.

Each Car in this set is individually boxed. Track, transformer and other model railroad accessories are available separately at your local neighborhood and mall hobby shops. The Lionel^â Santa Fe Freight Train Set operates equally well on "O" and "O27" track, regardless of the track manufacturer (e.g. Lionel^â, K-Line^â , Atlas^â, Gargraves^â, etc.). This set will please young and old alike, collector or operator.
