Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I've been browsing your site and I was wondering: who are you, and why have you decided to do a website featuring history and historical fiction?

A. My name is Amy and I am currently working on my B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) degree in history at Texas Woman's University. I've decided to start this site because 1) history and historical fiction are my passions and 2)I wanted to be original and make a website that offers resources for history, historical fiction, and historical fiction writing.

Q. Ohh, so you're a history major, huh? Is there any way you can personally help me with my homework/term paper/test?

A. Personally, no. "Why not?", you ask? To be brief, I have my own schoolwork and other daily tasks I must tend to. And besides, it's best that you do the work on your own so you learn it. I'm not necessarily saying that you're trying to cheat. But truly, learning history can be quite fun and interesting, if you approach it in the right way. However, there will be (in the near future, if everything goes as planned) links to scholarly history sites that can aid you in your work, along with a forum where you can post your questions/comments regarding history/historical fiction/hf writers' resources (also coming soon.)

Q. I've been checking out your site and I have links/information to something not listed on your site. Can I send the link/information to you?

A. I would be more than happy to accept your link(s)/information, as long as it is relevant to the subjects of historical fiction. I being very broad when I say "historical fiction or history"; just about anything that would be considered history or historical fiction would work here. As for hf (that's writerspeak for historical fiction) writers' resources, I would really prefer that the information regarding the writers' resources be either specifically related to historical fiction writing resources (and/or) geared to writers' resources in general.
