Rosalie Marie Honis
August 26, 2000 - August 27, 2000
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.  When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."  Ps 139 13-16
"Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth.  The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind...the sound of weeping and crying will be heard in it no more.   Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years."  Isaiah 65:17-20
Rosalie Marie Honis was born on August 26, 2000, with a condition known as trisomy 13.   Only 5% of all babies with trisomy 13 survive to a live birth.   God graciously answered many prayers in allowing Rosalie to be born alive, and to survive for nearly twelve hours.   During her short life, Rosalie was held and loved by her parents, brother, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends.
Although most T-13 babies have significant heart defects, Rosalie's heart was her greatest asset.   Rosie's will to live touched everyone around her.  And her death reminds us that each day is a gift to be cherished!

After his son died King David said, "Can I bring him back again?  I will go to him, but he will not return to me."   2 Samuel 12:23
On July 31, 2005, Rosalie's Grandma Honis went to be with her in heaven.  On December 5, 2005, her Great-Grandmother Clara Dippold joined them.  We rejoice that they are all together with Jesus, and we look forward to the day when we are all reunited forever!
