Her Returning Past (The Allan/Francesca/Amante/Amber Situation)
Allan Benton has been in love with Francesca George for quite some time. He loved her so much that he secretly entered her in the Miss Midway Contest, despite the winning streak of Amber Hart's, because he was sure that she'd win. Francesca did win, and they set off a bomb in Amber. Amber's determined to dig up dirt on Francesca now, and regain her title as Miss Midway. Now that Amber has found out Francesca had a relationship with Amante Aldovar in Spain, she's willing to use it and many other things she believes Francesca's hiding against Francesca to get revenge. Now that Amante is planning on returning to Midway Prep, Francesca's relationship with Allan could be endangered. Amber succeeded in bringing Amante to Midway Prep, and now has many plans involving Francesca. In the meantime, Adrienne DeMaise, a friend of Francesca's, began falling for Allan. Now, Allan finds himself lingering dangerously closer to Adrienne despite all of his feelings for Francesca. When Francesca discovered that Allan was in Midway, she immediately reacted by meeting with him. In their meeting, she begged him to leave Midway Prep and her behind forever. Francesca thought Amante had walked out of her life for good, but he reappeared later that evening. The two were swept up in a passionate kiss...one that Allan happened to walk upon.

Against the Odds (The Zach/Kate Love Story)
Zach Carter dated Karen Berkley for quite some time. They seemed like the perfect couple, and that's why when Karen dumped him, he went bollistic. Zach plotted revenge on Karen, determined to ruin her life for causing him so much pain, especially when she began dating Carson Love. A young woman named Kate Dermont changed his outlook on life, though. Zach's now falling for her, but Kate's parents greatly disapprove of the relationship and have forbade her to see Zach. Despite this, Kate vowed to Zach that she'd never pass up a chance at something special, and the couple seem to now be on the road to happiness. The couple now face a serious threat to their relationship: Randall revealed Zach's revenge-tactics from his breakup with Karen, which sent Kate into a mode of distrust and anger. In the aftermath of Randall's untimely death, however, Zach managed to reconcile with Kate. Soon, though, another problem confronted them: Zach's impending departure for Midway Academy.

A Dangerous Love Story (The Kim/Trace Romance)
Jake Bradley had been going with Kim Anderson for quite a while...until Trace Quincy came along. Trace was determined to have Kim as his girlfriend, but an overprotective Jake got nasty and refused to let Kim get near him. He didn't realize that he was only pushing Kim away from him and closer to Trace, which finally ended with Jake catching Kim & Trace kissing and ending things with Kim. Now that Jake is out of the way, Kim & Trace have been growing closer by the minute. Trace & Kim are involved in a secret which is mostly about how Trace tried to rig the Miss Midway Contest in 2000 in Kim's favor. That secret threatened to reveal itself in a vengeance-filled Randall, but Kim knew that she'd lose everything (her school, her friends, and Trace) if Randall revealed it. The two confronted each other on the second floor of the building, where Randall even tried to get rid of Kim by throwing her over the banister. After struggling, Kim managed to fight Randall off and ended up pushing him down the stairs to his death. Kim then went into shock, and ran out into the middle of the main thoroughfare and was hit by a car. She's now being rushed to the hospital, with Trace by her side determined to see her through. With the help of a paramedic, Trace is beginning to realize that he needs to show Kim just how much he loves her. Trace stood outside of Kim's door, waiting patiently for her to recover. While he was waiting, however, he didn't hide his disdain towards Cliff Walsh, brother of the girl that had struck Kim with the car. Kim eventually woke up, and she and Trace had one last conversation before she went into cardiac arrest and died.

The Repressed Love (The Gemini/Sloane Romance)
Gemini is now beginning to pick up her life by going into a field she loves: photography. While taking classes, she's also met the roguish and handsome Sloane. It's obvious that the two have an attraction for the other, but they're fighting to keep their feelings at bay and want them to disappear completely. Those feelings sometimes come to a head, but their own self-reservations keep them from experiencing them fully. Another thing is now keeping Gemini and Sloane apart. Ariel told Gemini about Sloane's shady past (theft, breaking and entering, etc.), which has convinced Gemini firmly that she doesn't need a man and doesn't want one. Sloane attempted to patch things up with Gemini, but she refused. Sloane, in frustration, decided to move on, and set his sights on Gemini's friend Robin. Though she wouldn't dare admit it, Gemini was quite stunned and hurt when she came upon Sloane and Robin together.

Actress With a Past (The Shannon Story)
Shannon Freemont is an all-star actress, determined to one day be a leading lady on Broadway. Complicating those dreams are a deep, dark secret that Shannon's harboring that no one knows...except for Jakoby Grier. Shannon is protecting her secrets at all costs, as well as finding a way to beat out Allan Benton, her sworn nemesis. Jakoby has returned, though, and the revealing of her secret is more threatening to her than ever. Things became even more complicated when Marlo Velasquez overheard a conversation of theirs' and is now determined to find out Shannon's secret. Jakoby, despite pleading from Shannon, finally went to a school newspaper reporter and gave them the headline about Shannon's secret: her hidden drug addiction. Shannon broke down afterwards, for her world came crashing down around her. Eventually, though, she got herself together and made a trip over to Jakoby's room. There, she attacked him (throwing glass, knocking him down, tearing up his room, etc.) and even came to the point where she picked up a knife to finally get rid of him. Things became complicated when Marlo walked in on Shannon in her destruction spree. Seeing a situation that could work out to her advantage, Marlo decided to blackmail Shannon in order to get a certain something, or someone, she's always wanted. That someone happened to be Kendall, whom Marlo is throwing herself at shamelessly.

Family Pains (Christian and His Family's Story)
Christian Harris is also a great actor, but his story is quite complex. His parents are in a loveless marriage, which has erupted into arguments and spats of enormous magnitudes. Christian has given his parents an ultimatum: get a divorce or he's walking out...forever. His parents finally decided to get a divorce, but have now said they're going to fight to the finish for custody of the children. Christian is seeking help to numb the intense pain and emotional instability he's feeling, with his two friends Shannon and Chloe right behind him. Christian also found a new friend in Becca, and even though he swears that she's only a friend, it's obvious that he has some romantic feelings for her. The court date was moved up, so Christian prepared to go to a court that would determine his fate. However, Becca was there by his side to help take his mind off of things.

Testing the Love (The Chantal/Mel Love Story)
Chantal Lowell is a woman who stands up for what she believes in, if only she could do that at home. Her parents aren't exactly of the best quality, having verbally and sometimes physically abused her. She's tried to keep it a secret, but Mel, who has a crush on her, has found out. He's determined to help her, but Chantal refuses to let him. Despite some differences, Mel & Chantal are finding themselves growing closer and closer. Mel paid a visit to Chantal's home, and was stunned to find Chantal's father beating on her mother and eventually moving on to Chantal! Mel confronted Jim, her father, and was stunned when Chantal demanded that he leave. Mel is now reevalutating his relationship with Chantal and his own life as well.

A Young Woman's Trials (Sharon's Story)
Sharon Redmon only wants the best for her friends, which is why she's suspicious of Mark Kwan. Sharon has her own problems to deal with, though, with her younger brother having recently been diagnosed with lukemia. Sharon had to choose between staying with her friends or going home to be with her little brother...and leave Midway Prep forever. She chose to stay at Midway Prep. Despite that, Sharon began to have second thoughts. She was continuously wracked by guilt for not being by her brother's side. The guilt became so great that as soon as school let out, she decided to leave Midway Prep and return home to help her brother through his problems.

Wistful Love (The Eve/Brent/Chloe Love Triangle)
Chloe Bridges arrived in Midway on the first day of school. Brent immediately caught her eye, despite the fact that he's already in a relationship with Eve Lancaster. She and Brent are growing to become good friends, as the two are now beginning to spend more time together. Things are also being to get complicated, as Brent is becoming more confused by the day about his feelings towards Chloe. Chloe, meanwhile, is determined to not rely on a man to make her happy. She's become increasingly confused by her feelings. Eve and Brent had a falling out one evening, which left Eve wondering if their relationship is falling apart.

Territory Wars (The Brent/Kendall battles)
The minute ex-Midway Academian Kendall Washington stepped foot into the halls of Midway Prep, Brent loathed him. Both are used to having their own territory, and become lions when it's threatened. Brent and Kendall ended up getting into a fight, in which Brent threatened Kendall to steer clear of him. Kendall then told his girlfriend Jade that they would have to fight to uphold their dignity.

Savannah vs. the World (The Savannah story)
From the first day Savannah stepped foot inside Midway Prep, she's been teased and insulted. Savannah, being the insecure person that she is, takes it to heart, and thus her self-esteem level is dangerously low.
