If it aint MOPAR its under par!!!!

The great E49 Charger the greatest Australian muscle car to hit the roads. It was benefited from a host of performance features including the Hemi 265 engine, the '6 pack' (a bank of three dual throated Webers) and a tough as nails four speed gear box. The result was the fastest accelerating Aussie production car ever seen.

The first Valiant to be marked as a performance car was the pacer, initially fitted with a hot version of the Slant Six 225, then given a Hemi engine in 1970. A V8 Valiant had been sold earlier but it was an auto-only effort and marked purely as a luxury car. The first Pacer wasn't something to set the world on fire but was a portent of great thing to come.
