In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with
God, and the Word was God.
He was in the world, and the world was made through
Him, and the world did not know Him.
God of mercy, you sent Jesus Christ to seek and
save the lost. We confess that we have strayed from
You and turned aside from Your way. We are misled by
pride, for we see ourselves pure when we are stained,
and great when we are small. We have failed in love,
neglected justice, and ignored Your truth. Have
mercy, O God, and forgive our sin. Return us to paths
of righteousness through Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

though He was in the form of
God,
did not count equality with God
a thing to
be
grasped,
but emptied Himself,
taking the form
of a
servant,
being born in human likeness.
He humbled Himself
and became
obedient
unto death,
even death on a cross.
and bestowed on Him the name
which is
above every name,
that at the name of
Jesus
every
knee should bow,
in Heaven and on earth and under
the
earth,
and every tongue confess to the glory of
God:
Jesus Christ is Lord! Amen.
relinquish burdens of the mind.
For who are we to doubt Gods' word?
Our sins have all been left behind.
Christ died to free us of the debt
which we incur, throughout our lives.
His word is law, lest we forget,
and by His grace we will survive.
He was in the beginning
with God.
All things were made through Him, and
without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Him
was life, and the life was the light of men.
And
the
light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did
not
comprehend it.(John1 1-5)
He came to
His
own, and His own did not receive Him.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the
right to become children of God, even to those who
believe
in His name:
who were born, not of blood, nor of
the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of
God.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only
begotten
of the Father, full of grace and truth.
