In 43 Winston Cup Starts at Daytona, Earnhardt has 33 top-ten finishes. 3 are wins, 19 are positions 2 through 5 and 11 are finishes in positions 6 through 10.

Earnhardt will have the new Monte Carlo that they have been working on for over two years. Goodyear is bringing back the new tire they introduce this year. Earnhardt has shown in the 1999 Season that he still has what it takes and although his reflexes may not be what they were 20 years ago he has racin' knowledge superior to most. This was evident at Talladega this year when Earnhardt "saw air" he had never seen before and split the field and drove up the middle of the pack successfully passing others.

And if you just want to look at a little history, Earnhardt has won championships in '80, '86, '87, '90, '91, '93, and '94. If you will notice Earnhardt won the championship in 1980 and 1990 and is certainly due to win it again in 2000!
