Great Fox's secret by Herofox
Great fox was running very fast.
However, he kept to a low speed, so that Tails and Storm could follow.
He led them to a dark and dreary cave.
"Sure is dark." Said Storm
"Yeah" replied Tails "you go contact the freedom fighters. I'll spy on Great Fox."
"Sure thing" was Storms reply. "Just don't get carried away and try to get him
on your own again!"
Tails turned to Storm, as a vain appeared on his head.
"Let me tell you Mr La-dee-da Storm! I know what mistakes I've made, and I won't make them again!"
"NOW GO!!!" He yelled.
"Okay" Storm grumbled then he muttered, "Ya big fat idiot..."
Then the duo parted and Tails dashed into the cave.
He found Great Fox in a chamber, where he just looked up at Tails.
"I have you now!" Yelled the young vulpine, as he drew his Angel stone and Became Hero Fox.
"Hold on my boy!" came a new voice.
"Who's there?!" Demanded the golden Kitsune
Then a large figure appeared in front of him. Hero Fox back flipped back as
The figure took shape.
He looked like a Rhino, with the wings of a Bat, and the claw of a Lobster.
"NAUGUS!!!!!" Shouted a surprised Hero Fox
"Long time no see, chosen one!" Replied the large dark wizard.
"Now it's time for a little family reunion!" he then waved his hand at Great Fox
who was wrapped in a purple light.
The robot struggled, and roared out in pain.
"What are you doing to him?!" asked the nine-tailed Tails.
Naugus just grinned, and shot a powerful blast of dark energy at the Silver Robot.
Hero Fox could do nothing but gaze in shock, as the blast struck Great Fox' face, shattering his helmet.
"Look familiar Prower?" Mocked the Magic using Behemoth, as Great Fox weakly raised his head, to
revile, a dark brown eye, a bunch of fluffy bangs, not unlike Tails own,
and the one distinguishing feature...

Hero Fox was in a state of complete shock, "D...DD..DAD?!"
The old fox looked up at the surprised Tenko, but then fell unconscious.
Naugus laughed "That's right daddies boy! Your dear old father who abandoned you
All those years ago!"
This struck despair into Tails "He...abandoned me...?" he asked
"Oh, of course!" Replied the Magician of evil "Let me show you..."
Then Naugus showed Hero Fox something terrible that happened the day he was born...
The day Amadeus was robotasised...

"This boy is a freak!" He yelled "As if my life wasn't messed up enough already!" He yelled,
despite the fact that his wife, Rosemary was in the room
"Please Amadeus!" the blue-eyed Vixen pleaded "It's not the child's fault he was born with a defect!"
This only angered the newly robotasised Fox even more "I should have known better
Than to marry someone from Mobotropolis!" he roared, before walking to the door
"Amadeus..." he wife pleaded with tears filling her eyes "Where are you going?"
"As far away from here as I can!" he called back before activating his jet pack, and flying away.
When the flashback ended, Hero Fox had powered down to normal Tails,
Who was now on his knees, full of sorrow.
"He hated me..." whispered the small fox, on the verge of tears.
"Awww..." Naugus continued "The truth hurts doesn't it?"
Tails then shot Amadeus an angry look.
"So that's why I couldn't find your grave..." he said "All this time I though you died along with mom!" Tails was starting to become angry
"But you didn't...YOU LEFT US!!" He cried with tears in his eyes
Amadeus looked at Tails weakly "Miles... so you have the power of Merlin's stone.."

"You would be impressed now you old fool!" Tails yelled, still trying to stop
himself from crying
"All this time, I never stopped hoping that someday I'd find you! Then maybe
we could have been a family again...but what the hell am I supposed to believe anymore?!!"
Naugus could nee that Tails was venerable. He knew how to get what he wanted.
"Tails" he said warmly "You know, you did have a parent who loved you."
Tails looked up at Naugus "What good does knowing that do?! She's died when I was a baby!"
Naugus put his arm on Tails shoulder "There is however a way to contact her

Then Tails looked confused, "What are you saying?" He asked
The Evil wizard then smiled "You see my boy, I have the power to restore life of a fallen person.
I could restore your mother to life, Tails, for a price of course..."
Tails was so upset about his father that he'd forgotten all about Naugus'
Evil ways.
"What do you want from me?" he asked
Naugus' smile became even more large, and wicked
"I want you to destroy Light Fist!" he roared
Tails was deeply shocked. Sonic and Knuckles where like older brothers to him
And he'd never dream of betraying them.
"I...I can't!" he stuttered.
"But you must fight with Light Fist!" Naugus demanded
"You see, I wish to pass on this spell of life restoration to the strongest Mobian.
I just want you to fight Light Fist in an all out battle and win.
You will then be given the opportunity, to duel ME for the chance to learn
My spell and free your mothers soul!"
Tails was trembling. His head was telling him not to trust Naugus,
But his heart was telling him that he had to save his mother.
Meanwhile, Freedom fighter headquarters received a call from the task force

Chaos Control.
Storm: Glad you could make it guys.
Knuckles: No problem. Now, where's Great Fox?
(Storm leads them to the cave that he and Tails chased Great Fox too.)
Storm: Well, this is the place.
(Then Sonic looked up the cliff)
"Hey, there's Tails!" He said
ails just gazed down at them, without any emotion.
"Whoa! What's up with him?" he remarked
Tails then jumped off the cliff, and landed in front of the group
"Tails, is something up?" Asked Storm
Tails said nothing, he just pointed at Sonic and Knuckles.
"What's going on here?!" Knuckles yelled
"What does it look like?!!" Tails called back "it's a challenge!
You and me are going to have one last sparring match Light Fist!
The Winner will get to fight Naugus, and the loser...
Loses his life...!!!
