Only Shotgun Training Courses for Armed Security personnel is provided at present in Hong Kong. 

Armed Security Guard Permit Course :- 

A 1-day (7 hours) Shotgun course which includes 

Basic knowledge of Specifications, Nomenclature, Firing actions, Safety precautions, Practical handling movements, Marksmanship principles, Armed Permit Test procedures, Range procedures and Live firing practices. 

Provision of equipment including various types of Shotguns and ammunition most commonly used by security companies in HK and meet the requirement of the Authority; Safety equipment for shooting practices; Shooting Accessories; Training notes;  

Training Venue 

Training courses will be conducted in a most modern, advanced technology training facility and indoor shooting range with a team of experienced staff. If an approved training facility and/or shooting range can be arranged by clients, HDL can send its trainer to conduct training courses at designated and approved locations.  

Size of Class

For achieving the best result, an ideal class size is 6-8 trainees. This enables trainees to receive maximum attention in practical sessions and to share experiences in group work. Should there be a need for a larger class required by a company, tailor-made courses can be developed to cater special needs.

For Security Personnel Training Courses 

Type (I)

Basic Security Guard Training Course :- 

A two-day course, totalling 16 training hours, includes a minimum of 12 hours’ lecture and practice on the basic level security job knowledge as required by the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority.   

Standard Security Guard Training Course :-  

A 3-day course , total 24 training hours spent on standard level security job knowledge as required by the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority .
