EXPERIENCE:
May

Visual Basic/ Database Developer
Currently developing
an application for the transportation industry. Using VB6 with a SQL Server
database. I have totally designed all aspects of this large complex app.
Database design
included all aspects of database design and implementation to include table
design, database normalization, stored procedure design and implementation, and
DTS as well as triggers.
Additionally, I have
developed scripting to convert the SQL Server 7 database design to either MySQL
or SQL Server 2000.
I have created DTS
packages to enable the application to export accounting data to various
accounting packages.
The design of the VB
portion of the app included everything from concept through form design to
creation of needed classes as well as all coding
Application is
designed to minimize keystrokes to perform various tasks as well as to follow
the logic needed by the dispatchers. Search and lookup functionality combined
with flexiblity are critical for the success of this application and are well
developed.
Application also
calculates driver pay and billing information, tracks relayed loads and loads
‘brokered’ or ‘trip leased’ to another trucking company, (critical information
to a trucking company), tracks trailer locations (if applicable), provides for
documenting driver communications as well as providing all information a
dispatcher may need at his or hers fingertips with an absolute minimum of key
strokes.
App will be licensed
to another company for marketing.
Another of my more
interesting recent projects was to modify an image processing application for a
small start up company using VB6. This application processed the input from a
camera “pixel by pixel” according to
