Wodnicka Family

The Wodnicka family is led by Irena, a single mom who is unemployed. She now has 5 children, after losing two sons in a house fire about 4 years ago. Ula, Jola and Irena sometime work seasonally picking strawberries and carrots for under $3/day.

  • Artur - was raised in an orphanage

The founders of Help Children in Pogorzel, Poland, Elzbieta (Elizabeth) Zaremba-Swat and Krzysztof (Christopher) Swat, sponsor the Wodnicka family and hope to be able to bring Ula and Jola to America for summer vacation.

Sylvia will be evaluated for her autism, thanks to Mrs. Janina Misiewicz, the director of Pogorzel's elementary school.
