Annual Projects

School Meal Project - Originally the "School Breakfast Project," consisting of a piece of bread or pastry and one fruit each school day, we have now progressed to providing lunch instead. Each child receives either soup with a piece of meat or a main course daily. For many children, this meal is the only meal of the day. Including all the children in the meal program costs $3000 a year. Different donors sponsor this project each year but we still need additional donors on a continuous basis.

Warm Winter Project - The winters are bitter cold in Pogorzel, so we will once again be collecting warm clothing and slippers to send. Clothes need to be shipped in early July to reach Pogorzel at the beginning of winter. More info

Christmas Card sales - Every year, children from the school in Pogorzel made approximately 500 Christmas cards and sent them to the USA. The Foundation sells the cards for $1 to $5 and sends the money to the school. The money is well spent to meet the needs of the children and the school. In 2003, they made about $500. The children were very proud of themselves and their accomplishment. They are hard at work making cards for this year. To purchase cards, please e-mail the Foundation at helpchpog@yahoo.com

Easter Card sales - Each year, the children also make Easter cards that they sell at a school in Warsaw, Poland. The school, Elementary School #10/High School #27, is located on Ostrobramska 72. Last year they made approximately $200.
