Section 9 .

Fuel System

Finally finished!! It wasn't supposed to take this long but here it is...

Here are the fuel pumps and filter assembly.

The fuel shut-off valve is located directly behind the fuel pumps.

Initial fitting of the fuel tanks was somewhat screwy. The tanks don't really fit up to the frame very flush

I finally gave up and just started making the straps.

The pilot's side tank had to be insulated with extra rubber near one of the engine mounts.

The rear straps were a bear the fabricate due to the shape of the tanks. Some of you may be wondering about my strap mounting clamps...

This sure made my life easier!

The clamps worked like a champ!!

Ken has been in some third-world country lately, so you'll have to excuse the photo quality.

Fuel tanks done!...yeahhh!

This is the fuel drain. It will be mounted to the bottom of the helicopter flush in the tub.

This shows the fuel mod. I have done as per RotorWay's instructions. I'm still undecided as to where to mount this tee.

Here is a view of the fuel return line looking from the rear.

Still have to fabricate the heat shields for the exhaust but it's now time to start the electrical section.
