Section 5.

Cyclic, Collective, and Directional Controls

These photos were actually taken after completion of this section. The original photos were of poor quality so I chose not to use them.

This photo shows the fore/aft stops which will be adjusted later during the rigging process. You can also see the cyclic clevis mount and lateral control cables.

Here is another view from the front. You can also see the collective tubes with the throttle sleeves intact. RotorWay supplied some rubber grips which resemble something that reminds me of bicycle grips from before my day. I went down to the local motorcycle shop and picked up some nice foam grips. I will include photos of these later.

Here you see the throttle linkage mounted to the end of the collective control assembly. I still have to cut the end of the throttle tube sticking out. When the controls are final installed, The ends of all the control tubes will be rivited and safety wired to the frame.

I'm still not sure if I will keep the factory grips or install aftermarket grips.

These are the pedal pivot brackets. They were fabbed from supplied alum. The directional controls are finished, however, I do not have decent pictures yet.

Stay tuned for more of this.
