Jimmy Baggette
September 1945 to March 8, 2000

Jimmy passed away sometime in the morning hours of Wednesday, March 8th. He died in his home very peacefully in his sleep.

This is a man we'll never forget, he was loved and respected by many. He is survived by his wife Rhea, his son Caleb, his daughters Suzie and Alison, his mother Bill, his sister Jan, and his grandson Paul.

Jimmy was born and raised in Fayetteville N. C. Where most of his family still resides.

Jim and Rhea married February 14th, 1986. I know what a joyful occasion this must have been.  He loved his wife in every way. They lived in Beaufort, NC , and attended the First Baptist Church of Beaufort.

Jim worked at Naval Aviation Depot, in Cherry Point.  He is remembered there by so many friends. When ever you'd see him at work he couldn't just walk by, he'd have to stop and give you a big hug, a big Jimmy Smile, and of course a nice conversation.  I don't think there is an area at Nadep, where people didn't know and love this man.  He will be missed and talked about for a very long time to come.

Some of his interests were Nascar Racing; his favorite race car driver being Davey Allison, driving car number 28.  He also liked just hanging around, and  doing things or being with Rhea. Jim and Rhea were into the game of golf, computers, and just plain having fun.

There is not enough to be said about Jimmy, he always made everyone laugh and just had the right words to make you feel good.  He was a good Christian Man, the Lord was in his heart, I know now he has joined the other angels in Heaven and is happy, making everyone around him feel good with laughter and joy. Lets all keep him in our thoughts and love him as we all knew him.

I've heard that Jimmy just enjoyed sitting down with family and friends listening to  Christian music and Gaither Gospel Tapes, and one of his very favorite songs was Sweet Buelah Land
