A butterfly lights beside us
Like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment
It's beauty and glory belong to our world.
But then it flies on again;
And though we wish it could have stayed
We feel so lucky to have seen it.....
One Perfect Rose
She came into the world and captured our heart
The sweetness of her face was there from the very start
She had a radiant smile for all, never was a frown
Her friends and family were so blessed to have her around
Unknown to all she left so suddenly that night
Not ever knowing what could have not been right
God called her home and we can not comprehend
That someone so young would have their life on earth end
So many asked “why”? How could this come to be?
The plan and purpose was not ours to see
You see, God knows when he will come for all
It doesn’t matter if you are old or small
Losing a child is one of a parents’ greatest fears
We want and expect them to be with us for all our years
Our hearts cry out for the hurt is more than we can bear
The Lord knows the hurt and your sorrow he will share
The Rose symbolizes beauty, perfection, and a love that is true
A Rose blooms for only a short time but the memory is always with you
The love and radiance she brought you will forever be in your heart
For love never dies and memories will never depart
For as the Rose comes, shares its’ beauty and then fades away
Her short time on earth was also this way
The Lord picks the best of the flowers for his own bouquet
He picked her, "The Perfect Rose" that very day
