Five Stones' Vision

"And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run that reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie; though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Habakkuk 2:2,3

"And he took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones out of the brook...." I Samuel 17:40

Almost 15 years ago, God spoke to me as I read I Samuel 17:40 and said, "The name of your ministry is Five Stones." Five Stones has a three-fold commission from the Lord. While our ministry applications may vary a bit over time as God sharpens our focus, our main vision remains unchanged in these three areas.

  1. We are receiving and developing a "corporate body of truth" that focuses on the ways satan distorts our concept of God through beguilement and various attacks that leave wounds. We are to help people recognize wounds and impart methods of understanding and relating to God through His Word, rather than those wounds. All of a believer's difficulties ultimately stem from a distorted concept of God. When our concept of God is correct, we finally see life from His perspective, and we are at rest. Knowing God becomes our focus.
  2. In addition to using various methods to share and distribute the revelation we receive, we are also called to function as disciple makers, developing and equipping laborers to assume their ministry and responsibility in His service. As we share our revelation of God's Truth in churches, seminars, meetings, and outreaches, we use that knowledge to both teach and heal. People will come and go from this area as God leads. We wish to help people develop their vision and answer their call from God. Helping people develop the revelational aspects of their relationship with God through the Holy Spirit and blending these manifestations with spiritual principles will develop spiritual personal ministry. Our prayer is that the gifting of spiritual personal ministry will then be used as a prophetic resource to provide spiritual resolution to difficulties with which many Christians struggle.
  3. We desire to assist local church leadership, other ministries, and certain individual ministers with defining, developing, and delivering their ministry. Rather than soliciting these relationships, we are to allow God to develop them, and we serve the leadership or the individuals as foundational servants, at whatever level of relationship and responsibility God has ordained. Many times, we are allowed to impart prophetic revelation that is used by the Holy Spirit to lay foundations in the spirit for their particular vision.
