Secret patch surfaces in collectors' hands

Since the recent Tipsa 50th celebration a Woapalanne 50 years of service patch has popped up in a few patch collectors hands. This patch was released to Woapalanne members only and the distribution method has been kept a secret except to the Woapalanne Leadership and patch committee.

We were able to extract the reasoning behind the patch. "Even though the Woapalanne Chapter has only been around 36 years, the area has been a part of Tipsa for 50 years. The name may have changed but the people have stayed the same. This has always been Woap territory and will always stay Woap Territory."

The exact number of patches has also been secured but sources were permitted to say that there are fewer than 100 and that trading the patches was not to take place for 2-3 years from distribution.

Woapalanne's Chapter Chiefs had no comment on this issue, but sources tell us that it is difficult for even Woapalanne members to receive this patch without some authority or connections within the chapter.

There are at present, no plans to make duplicates. So most patch collectors will have to do without this rare collectable.

First Alien in OA, Joins Woap

"We saw a bunch of lights dancing across the sky and then we were all bathed in a beam of light" reports one eyewitness. "As the world's first intelligent contact with alien life, we felt it proper to make them honorary members of our chapter," reports Woapalanne's chapter chief.

The new member couldn't stay long as he had other plans, something about abductions, crop circles and general messing with people's heads. Plans for other aliens to join Woapalanne Chapter are unclear, but sources say they will be welcomed.

Plans for New Woapalanne Lodge Off to Good Start

Ask any of the old timers and they will tell you how Woapalanne has always jokingly referred to themselves as Woapalanne Lodge. Well those jokes may soon become reality. This movement started back when Steven LaPha managed to jump start the chapter, and since then other chiefs have kept succeeding in improving the chapter.

Plans for the Woapalanne "Creation" patch are already in the works as shown in this top secret document. This newspaper is the first to cover this story and the first to find the truth and what Woapalanne leaders don't want others to know.

"Woapalanne has always had views that differ from Tipis a and feel this move is all for the better" an anonymous source revealed. As some people are aware, there used to be a Woapalanne Lodge elsewhere in the nation that folded. Officials say that they have reviewed the paperwork and assure members that we will still use the Woapalanne name when they form the new lodge.

As most Lodges are directly associated with a council, the Canaveral Council will also be created with Woapalanne Lodge. Some say these drastic changes may be due to some of the large changes in the Central Florida Council and Tipisa Lodge.

Some of the major changes have been: Moving the Council center from Orlando, the "hub" of central Florida to far from most corners of the council; The "selling out" of Camp LaNoChe, now called "The Winn Dixie Scout Reservation", caused great concerns as well. "Camping used to be about roughing it, now it's about luxury. Who knows what's next, probably tearing down those dirty ugly trees to put up a new luxury hotel. Paper, Plastic, or Camping?" says one concerned Woapalanne member.

When the final plans to change to Woapalanne Lodge are to occur is unclear. Official news will be reported to Council once proper channels have been passed through.
