EXCELLENT

PERSONALITY:

This is an, intelligent, curious, friendly, affectionate, loud and destructive bird. How's that for variety! They are voracious chewers and must have a never-ending supply of hard and soft chew toys. Perches will need to be replaced often!

Their gentle, silly personalities will win your heart and entertain you for hours. Well-socialized Green Wings are generally accepting of strangers and will make a good family bird. Because of their size, however, boundaries must be set and training must be consistent.

Green Wing's are extremely intelligent, easily bored and require much physical and mental stimulation.

Green Wing's of both sexes can become cranky and even nippy during breeding season (you have about 5 years) and/or during Molting. It is best to recognize this for what it is, respect your Macaw's desire to be left alone and trust that it will pass.

As with all Large Macaw's they are NOT recommended for small Children. Children and parrots should be closely supervised when interacting.

CAGING REQUIREMENTS:

These Birds Require An Extra Large Cage, And To Meet Their Exercise Requirements At Least 30 X 48 Dome Top Is Preferred.
