The Story

In the 13th century, there was a Baron in northern Germany. He lived in his manor, isolated from any town or village. There he worked on his papers and duties for the folk.
The Baron was a kind and peaceful person, or so it seemed.
He walked back and forth to villages every day.
But one day he suddenly vanished. Some people noticed this and decided to go up to his manor, to check if he was alright. They arrived and looked for the Baron but he was no where to be seen.
The small group of towns-people continued on with their search, till darkness.
The last place they looked, was in the Baron's Dining Room.
There they found the Baron's body.
A few days passed and it was announced that his death was caused by a heart attack.....

Present Day:
The manor remained the way it was, nice, huge and isolated.
A family of four and their grumpy grandpa lived in the town closest to the manor.
Life for them was usual and a bit wealthy.
Then one day a letter came for the grandpa of the family. It was from the city hall requesting that he should take care of the Manor, since the previous "owner" died of a heart attack a few hours ago...
Grumpy as usual, the old man said to his family:
"Great! Now we have to take care of this fu(king old profane house!"
He took the key out of the letter and put it in his pocket.
He went up to the manor to take a look around.
Days passed and he slowly got used to his job.
After a "hard" day of watching over the old house, he returned home and went upstairs to hit the hay.
He walked down the small hall way, pass the parent's room and pass the kid's room.
"oh darn it!" He looked at his shirt and on the right sleeve he saw a red blood stained spot.
"DAMN IT!" He yelled. "Stupid job! I must have hit my arm some where! G** Dammit!"
He stormed into the bathroom to clean up the stain.
He reached for the soap, but then he suddenly came to a halt.
"....uh....." he mumbled "...m....m....."
At that moment, the old man fell lifeless to the ground.

2 weeks later. 1.30am...
The 2 kids (ages 12 (son) and 14 (daughter)) were in their rooms running around.
The father woke up and yelled to them, across the hall, "you two, get to sleep! It's late!"
"Alright! Fine!" One of the kids yelled back.
"Always at this time" the father mumbled.
A few minutes passed and the running stopped.
All of the sudden, the door to the bathroom slammed shut. "I told you to get some sleep!!" The father yelled out. But there was no answer.
A moment later foot steps were heard walking down the hall...
"... I'm not telling you everything twice!" The father yelled again.
He listened, to hear if the kids were running around again in their rooms, but instead he heard: "GRANDPA!" One of the children screamed.
The father got up and ran to the kid's room. There he say the window all the way open and a cold breeze blowing through the hall way.
"What is going on here?!?!?!" He yelled.
The 12 year old was crying and said shuddering: "Grandpa just ran passed our room."
Strange things happened the past few weeks. The family's cat was in front of the bath room door sreacing, strange markings on the wall along the hall, small earth quake-like rumblings, cold breezes, etc.
It became so bad that the family wanted to stay in the manor, since all the Inns in the village were booked.
"Well, we have the key. We might as well stay at the manor for a few days, until we find a new house to move into..." The mother said.
Everyone agreed and they moved into the manor.

The first night there was silent, compared to their "haunted" house back in the village.
Day by day strange things happened. The cat hissing, cold breezes, windows wide open, etc.
These things were getting worse and worse by the day. The family had no where else to go, so they stayed. Life in that more and more "unpleasant".
Strange metal like screeching coming from the basement, the cat running around and screaming, lights flickered, candles burn even though they were never lighted, objects moving from one place to another, etc. The father became so mad and scared, that we went to the basement, were no one was, since the Baron died. He went down the dark long narrow hall which went downwards.
A few meters down he saw a rusty bronze iron door. It was locked.
Even more sleepless nights passed and the family was almost on the brink of going insane.
"I can't take this anymore! I want to get out of here! Away from all this!" The 14 year old mentioned.
That night, they heard a high pitched woman scream, which came from downstairs and at that moment the house shook like an earth quake.
The father couldn't take this anymore. He went to the village to look for an Inn or any place where they could stay, but without luck.
So he decided to go to the city hall to look for some answers which might tell him something about that manor.
He looked through all kinds of history books and old 13th century documents.
He un-rolled an old scroll document and started reading. "Oh my god...." He leaned back in his chair and looked up at the ceiling. "I just can't believe this...."
The document said something about the manor not being a place where the Baron managed files and money like it he was thought to, but it was a jail, a torturing house, killing towns-folk who disobeyed the king.
It also stated that one person cursed the manor before he was executed, saying: "Ye who enters this manor shall not live to leave it."
The father rushed back, only to see the lights hanging from the ceiling, move around very fast.
He rushed to the children's room and saw his family.
"Are you all ok?" He said. "Dady! there are people here in this house! Mean ones!" said one of the kids.
The mother yelled out crying: "The shadows are moving! They're alive!" The father noticed that the son was missing. "Where is he?!" He said quietly. "He ran off, the skinny person with long twig-like fingers scared him away." The daughter said.
The wife suddenly screamed and they all looked towards the room's door and in the darkness a dark human shadow was watching them....

A month has passed and in the town below the manor, strange things are happening... People are scared to walk the town during the day and don't even think of doing so at night. Reports of white ghostly "things" walking around the town haunt the news. Even on CNN there was a special report on "ghostly encounters" in this village. This lured ghost hunters and interested people to visit this place. Along them were two middle aged guys who were interested in anything related to darkness and evil. Their appearance can tell exactly who they were... Dressed in pure black clothes, leather trench coats, combat boots, spiked black hair, chain necklaces and spiked gloves... Listening to Marilyn Manson and Slayer music 24/7... Yep, these guys were interested in this evil stuff alright... VERY interested.
"Oh man, this is so cool" one of them said. the other just nodded and they both went over to the reporter. "Hey man, what's going on---" "GET OUT OF HERE!! THEY KILLED HIM!! They killed him!!! AAAHHH!!!" The reporter ran away screaming as if her life depended on it. "very cool indeed, man..."

Just then a loud woman-like high pitched shriek echoed through the town as the reporter vanished around the corner, followed by another scream and bone-cracking sounds. One of the guys ran around the corner only to find nothing but a man curled up and shaking. He spoke nothing more than "mansion...mansion...mansion...".
Somewhat freaked out, both of these 'explorers' went to the nearest hotel to find answers but not a person was in sight. "That does it, man! Let's go to that manor up north, ya know the one on the news!!" Dermot said. "Sure. That's where everything supposedly started, let's go." Cedric replied and they both went up north. "hey wait up..." Dermont said chuckling a bit. "What, man?" Dermot took off his leather backpack he was carrying the entire time and opened the top. "What the @#%$... You brought guns with you? Holy @#%$ man..." Cedric looked at the collection of two P99s, a small custom shotgun and a bunch of ammo boxes. "What's all this @#%$ for?" Cedric laughed. "You can never be prepared, man..." Dermont took a P99 and gave his partner one also. "Demons can be killed you know..." Cedric(ced for short) just looked at Dermont (der for short) and said: "You... really don't believe in that @#%$, do you?" Der just smiled and said "Hell yeah... @#%$ yeah..." They both got their things together and marched up to the gates of the manor which was fully open and the walkway towards the main doors to the manor were near...
