      Introduction

 

 

 Hermann Hesse Frauen Gesellschaft Nepal (HHFGN), whose English equivalent is Hermann Hesse Women Society, Nepal, is a non-profit making and non-governmental organization established on April 11, 2007 and registered with the government of Nepal. The main objectives of this organization is to preserve and promote Nepalese arts, culture, literature and oriental philosophy through cultural exchange programmes, literary activities and teaching-learning approaches at people’s level.

Goal:

To serve the nation and all human beings by cultivating peace, harmony and fraternity through the exchange of indigenous arts and culture, literary activities and promotion of oriental philosophy is the goal Hermann Hesse Frauen Gesellschaft Nepal.

Objectives:

The main objectives of Hermann Hesse Frauen Gesellschaft Nepal are as follows:

  1. to preserve and promote indigenous Nepalese arts, culture, literature and philosophy through performing arts,
  2. to work for bringing out the latent talent of young female writers and artists from Nepal and abroad eager to
    dedicate themselves to promotion of Nepalese arts, culture, literature and philosophy,
  3. to organise programmes to make Nepalese arts and culture known to the world,
  4. to establish and promote cultural ties with other countries, especially Germany, by organising cultural exchange
    programmes,
  5. to felicitate female artists, writers and litterateur devoted to promotion of arts, culture, literature and philosophy,
  6. to develop a network of female artists, writers and litterateur working in performing arts,
  7. to carry out women empowerment programmes,
  8. to publicize Nepalese arts and culture in its original form,
  9. to help poor and destitute women to get out of their plight.
