"A Man and His Sheep -- The Adventures of Lucky Luke"

/user/s_luke1.jpg

It was just another carefree, singin' day on the ranch for cowpoke Lucky Luke -- he loved takin' care of his horse, Jolly Jumper, and his herd of sheep, and they loved him back!

He'd practice lassoin' from sunup . . .

. . . to sundown, with only his faithful sheep for company.

('Course, that new cowhand on the ranch kept sayin' that between all the lassoin' practice, turnin' them durn fine triple axels on the waterin' hole when it froze up in the winter, and struttin' his stuff for the dance hall girls when he went to town, Lucky Luke shore didn't seem to get a whole lotta actual work done -- but Luke didn't pay no attention to that jealous cowpoke) (the new hand was an odd kinda feller, name of Undeloro, with a butt so skinny he couldn't hardly stay on his horse, and a fondness for wearin' these strange sparkly chaps -- not to mention that Lucky Luke shore didn't like the funny way that Undeloro feller looked at his sheep . . .)

"What's this? Maybe it's that funny cow/buffalo kinda critter my sidekick Dart was talkin' about -- said it was a 'camel' or something, then cussed a whole lot in that funny French talk of his . . . This animal's been wanderin' around these here parts for a long piece now."

After the critter gave him a heck of a fight, Lucky Luke finally roped and hogtied him. "Ha! Looks like me and the boys will be eatin' camel steak tonight!"

"Hey, Maverick, that ain't no cow/buffalo!"
"Why, howdy, maa'aaademoiselle -- you talkin' to me? What d'ya mean, anyway? I know he looks kinda funny and all, but he shore do smell like a cow/buffalo -- why, he reeks worse than that Undeloro feller!"

/user/S_luke7.jpg

"O.K., little dogie, c'mon and get up -- we'll just mosey on back to the ranch and see if my sidekick Dart knows what you are . . ."

Did Dart remember his old pal Joe the Camel, or would he rather forget?

He 'forgot' . . .

Did they really make steaks out of him?

Naaaw!

Or did they turn soft-hearted, and give him a home on the range?

Yaaaw!

And whatever happened to that Undeloro feller, anyway?

He tried wearin' his sparkly chaps when he rode into town one day, and the dance hall girls beat the snot out of him . . .
