 About The HLFD Harveys Lake Fire & Ambulance Company proudly protects 10,000 people living in an area of four square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 9. The Harveys Lake Fire & Ambulance was founded in 1922. We are located at in the Northeastern part of Pennsylvania. Harveys Lake is the largest natural lake in the state which covers 648 acres and is over 100 feet deep. We are dispatched through the Luzerne County 911 center. We provide fire, EMS, water rescue, search and rescue, and other services.
