Sung by Megumi Ogata(Tenou Haruka)
Written by Takeuchi Naoko

Kikanai de kure doko kara kita no ka
Hiumenai de kure kono kizu ni
Hiumenai de kure nakushita kinoo ni
Tomanai de kure sore ijoo
Ima mo kokoro ni nemuraseta yume
Arashi no you ni sawagu kedo
Senaka o mukete mabataki hitotsu
Namida no you ni

Sumenai de kure yasashiku nakute mo
Nakanai de kure kono mune yo
Karen ni saita mujaki na hana ni
Kuchizukeru hi wa mada toi
Daremo ga yume o mirareru seikai
Kono mi o tateni mamoru to chikatta
Ano hi kara

Kaze ni nari tai
Kaze ni nari tai

I Wish I Was the Wind

Don't ask of me to tell you where I'm from.
Don't bury my in this wound.
Don't bury me in the lost yesterdays.
Don't stop me any further.
Even now in my heart sleeps my dream
That like a storm is still raging but
I turn my back and within a blink
Like a teardrop it breaks into pieces.
From that day onward I made a choice
To fight day by day.
I wish I was the wind.
I wish I was the wind.
Don't blame me even if I'm not kind.
Don't cry for me this heart of mine.
Gracefully blooming, a free-loving flower
Whose day of a kiss is still far away.
Everyone has a dream in a world they see
and using this body I promise to protect...
From that day onward.
It's a long and distant road as a fighter.
I wish I was the wind
I wish I was the wind
I wish I was the wind
I wish I was the wind

I'll say it. The first time I heard this song, I nearly cried.

The rhythm is a slow 4/4. The guitar softly rises and falls behind the magnificent tones of Megumi-sama. Her voice is strong and has such a heartbreakingly sad tone during this song... On the line "Haruka na senshi e no michi" she sounds as though she has acquiesced to her fate...and if you listen to the repeats of "Kaze ni naritai" she sounds as though her heart is walking out the door.

I could listen to this song over and over and never get sick of it.

This is the image song for Tenou Haruka/Sailoruranus for the S season of Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon.

This song sounds beautiful. The blend of her voice and the guitar with it's sharps and flats....OH! It's amazing.

I heard this song for the first time after I downloaded it from a site that I later bought a CD from. ^_^ At the time, I was running from things in my life. I listened to this song and read the lyrics and I....oh it was a monumentous day.

I learned to say "Haruka na senshi e no michi" long before I learned to say "Minna! Henshin yo!" actually. I have the entire song memorized in Japanese ^_^;;

Some call me obsessed. I call it enjoyment of a good song.

If you don't believe me about the beauty of this song...I was listening to this song and my mother, who does NOT enjoy anime, said the song was beautiful! HAH!
