Overflows and tests unfair, malicious actions in software
And odd behavior everywhere, I've looked at bugs that way
But now on abend batch runs, I see more work for everyone
Many more tests I'd like to run, I'll get to them someday
 
I've looked at bugs from both sides now
From test and dev and still somehow
It's bug safari's I recall
I really don't know bugs at all
 
Batch and crash and exceptions, invalid configurations
And I can never say, "I'm done." I've looked at bugs that way.
But now it's just another hang, a corner case not seen again.
Users won't care so why should we, just ship without delay.
 
I've looked at bugs and I've opined
From Close to Fix to As Designed
It's thrown exceptions I recall
I really don't know bugs at all
 
Cheers from peers and feeling proud, to say "I found that!" right out loud
Crash the cache with bad data, I've looked at bugs that way.
But now my tests, they seem so strange, I shake my head and think, I've changed.
And fun is lost but honor's gained in testing without pain.
